ISK’s STEM and Arts Pathways are independent study courses aimed at self-motivated students interested in STEM and Arts subjects. In the STEM Pathways Course students’ will identify and engineer solutions to solve real world problems of global significance. In the Arts Pathways course students choose a “theme” or “area” to explore in-depth which culminates in a final exhibition / show / performance.
These multi-disciplinary, collaborative projects provide opportunities for deeper learning. Together with a mentor, students navigate the messiness of the creative process from inception to completion through a process of iterative design. These are standards based courses providing students with opportunities for experiential, personalized and integrated learning.
